JUNIOR COUNTY CHAMPION 2024

On a day when it finally didn't rain, twelve junior girls competed over 36 holes of stroke play for the Junior County Championship. Hosted by Chelmsford Golf Club, which was looking magnificent after the recent rainfall, the girls played a morning and afternoon round. The morning round was also the qualifier for the Justin Rose Daily Telegraph competition and was won by Emily Dixon for best gross score and Rosie Salter for best net score.

With some very close scores in the morning round, it was a tight competition in the afternoon, but having won the morning round, Emily Dixon fought off the competition and came home as our Junior Champion for 2024. Congratulations to Emily.

Runner up for the scratch competition was Maia Hattrell on countback from Zoe McLean-Tattan. The best net score was won by Rosie Salter, with Maia Hattrell runner up on countback from Jessica Dye.

Our thanks to Chelmsford Golf Club, their friendly catering staff and of course to our referees, Trish and Debs.
